of moisture and has spent his career not only helping homeowners but has worked with engineers, homebuilders and condo developers to help lead the way in defining standards

1. Building/Home Inspection and Restoration

A visual inspection will be conducted by one of our qualified inspectors of the accessible internal and external aspects of the property. It would include systems such as surface grading and drainage, roofing, insulation, ventilation, chimneys, exterior siding, windows and doors, structural integrity, foundation, electrical and plumbing.

We will provide a comprehensive inspection report that identifies any and all restorations that you may want to consider in the short and long term.

Whether it’s a building, house or condominium, Mending Homes can restore your home to its original state, or upgrade it to improve the longevity. We do framing to finishing, new window installation to EIFS or conventional stucco repairs.

2. Mold Inspection and Restoration

We understand mold, how best to deal with it effectively in existing buildings/homes and
how to avoid it in new construction.

As Certified Residential Mold Inspectors, we will first examine any mold-related symptoms that could indicate the presence of molds. Then we conduct a thorough assessment of the building history and visually inspect the indoor and outdoor environments for visual clues of mold.
We also analyze and test the air quality to make certain that your air that you’re breathing is clean and not harmful. Our independent laboratories take the captured air and test for molds, harmful chemicals, growths and bacteria and then Mending Homes will provide you with a comprehensive report and a proposed course of action.

3. Home and Condo Maintenance

We provide condominium management companies comprehensive renovation maintenance for the buildings or properties they manage. This could be 24 hour on call service or caulking and replacing damaged windows. With 4 years experience in Condominium/home care, we can deliver estimated restoration services. Mending Homes insurance coverage is $4 million.

4. Insurance Restoration

Damaged property due to floods, rain storms, fires, and anything related to Insurance claims, can be restored. Mending Homes provides insurance companies estimated restoration services. We work closely with claim adjusters to reduce down time for home owners. Large or small projects are looked after with professional care. 5. Engineering Assistance

As a member of Alberta Building Envelope Council, many engineering companies retain our services to inspect buildings, homes and condominiums. We provide professional moisture control technicians to assist the engineering company with inspections and repairs. Inspections include but are not limited to cutting openings in exterior walls and interior wall inspections. The openings are then patched to match existing as per the request of the engineer.

Mending Homes works in close partnership with engineering firms such as Halsall Associates Ltd., Morrison Hershfield Ltd. Manticore Engineering and Gravity Engineering.

6. Home Improvement

From drywall to building decks, to kitchens and bathrooms, Mending Homes provides structural, interior and environmental design consultation as well as construction and renovation services.
